Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler unveil new-look Audi e-tron FE06

A new season and a new look as Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler pull the covers off the e-tron FE06, their challenger to fight for the ABB FIA Formula E crown in 2019/20.

The formidable pairing of Lucas di Grassi and Daniel Abt will team-up once again for the 2019/20 ABB FIA Formula E Championship with a striking season six challenger.

With 12 wins and 40 podiums between them, the most successful duo in Formula E will be looking to take back the teams’ championship this season, with an aggressive and truly unique design. Adding an innovative take on ‘go faster’ stripes, the team have adopted an electrifying orange and white palette to incorporate with the green synonymous with the the car since the inaugural season.

Last season, the German squad showed true resilience which helped them finish second in the teams’ battle. Lucas di Grassi showed exactly what it takes to be a Formula E champion - fighting through the field and taking advantage of others mistakes, ultimately putting himself in mathematic contention to win the title in the last race in New York. Abt also showed why the team retained him for their sixth campaign, finishing in the standings as the highest-placed driver not to have won a race.

Lucas di Grassi, said: “The fans are going to immediately recognise our car from the grandstands or on television. Each livery in the five seasons has had its own unique character, but the FE06 is my favourite. Now it’s up to the whole team to also make it a success.”

Daniel Abt, said: “Compliments to the design team at Audi. I’ve been keeping track of the visual development over the last few weeks and think the result is brilliant - the car simply looks aggressive and fast.”

Fans can catch their first glimpse of the fully-electric Audi e-tron FE06 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, before joining the rest of the grid at the official test at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia from October 15 - 18, ahead of the opening round of the season in Saudi Arabia on November 22.
